Lifetime television viewers of new series The Client List given a glimpse of the pageant preparation workbook entitled the Ultimate Teen Pageant Notebook by Cherie Wimberly
Ultimate Pageant Notebook makes TV Debut
Last Sunday Lifetime Television premiered its new original series, The Client List, starring Jennifer Love Hewitt. And while hundreds of thousands of viewers waited in anticipation of the weekly drama based on the hit made-for-television movie of the same title, one viewer was especially anxious, Cherie Wimberly, the author of the Ultimate Pageant Notebook. One of her pageant preparation workbooks was used as a prop in the storyline. It was the Teen Pageant Edition of The Ultimate Pageant Notebook.
A fan of the movie, which aired last year on Lifetime, this author was surprised and thrilled to receive a very special request from the production company filming the show. “When the producers first contacted me, I wasn’t sure if it was for real,” Wimberly explains, “but once they sent over the release and paperwork I was so excited.”
In a scene set at the local beauty salon, a young pageant contestant (Twinkle) is spotted reading her copy of the Ultimate Pageant Notebook prior to a pageant coaching session. Meanwhile, Riley (Jennifer Love-Hewitt) engages in a heated but friendly discussion with her mother.
Riley is the main character of the movie-turned-TV-series brought to life by Jennifer Love Hewitt. She is described as a former beauty queen. Cherie Wimberly, author of the Ultimate Pageant Notebook series of pageant prep workbooks was delighted to hear the news.
“Knowing the lead character’s background it was really nice to see the writers incorporate pageantry into another aspect of the storyline,” the author said. “Her character is very smart, and finds herself in an unthinkable situation. Although the premise of the show is quite unconventional, it’s good to see pageant people portrayed in an intelligent light, instead of in a negative one.”
Pageant people and viewers of all types can catch the series Sunday nights on the Lifetime network. Check your local listings for details.
The Ultimate Pageant Notebook pageant preparation workbook series was first published in 2008. All titles are currently available on Amazon.
