Much to the surprise of Miss USA fans, the NBC network dropped the Miss USA Pageant just days before its live air date earlier this month. The announcement came on the heels of unsavory remarks made by franchise owner Donald Trump. Trump was able to find a substitute home for the live show on the Reelz Channel, however the broadcast received some of the lowest ratings in Miss USA history. Now, just days after the Miss USA fiasco, NBC is announcing a new endeavor in collaboration with supermodel Cindy Crawford. Crawford is set to produce a new television drama about modeling tentatively entitled Icon. The model TV show will revolve around reported modeling wars of the 1980s between the Ford and Elite modeling agencies and their owners, Eileen Ford and John Casablancas. It has been confirmed that there are no current plans for Cindy Crawford to appear on camera in the production.
